Toronto KIDS BJJ
COMPETITION TEAM

Join one of Toronto’s highest-ranking youth BJJ competition teams. Dedicated coaching, strategic preparation, and elite performance for ages 7–15.

Small Team. Top Results.

Unlike massive "factory" teams where students are just a number, we cap our Competition Team at ~25 athletes per season. This ensures every child receives the personal mentorship required to win.

  • Personalized Game Plans: We analyze your child's specific strengths and build a custom strategy for them to execute in tournaments.

  • Elite Coaching Ratio: With a small roster, our coaches know every athlete’s game. Your child gets direct attention during high-intensity drilling and sparring sessions.

  • Proven Success: From the Ontario Open to Grappling Industries, the HOC Kids BJJ Competition team is one of Ontario's most established and highest-achieving. We are recognized for best pound-for-pound performances, ranking competitively with teams 4x the size.

  • Gender Balanced: We are proud to have an even split of boys and girls on the team, providing strong training partners for everyone.

Joining the HOC Competition Team is a unique opportunity for any kid to shine with the right attitude. While traditional team sports require athletic excellence at tryouts, we focus on underlying strengths such as grit, focus, and coachability.

  • Consistency: Athletes must attend their standard BJJ classes plus the dedicated weekly Competition Training session.

  • Heart: We require focus, discipline, and the ability to push through fatigue during intense rounds.

  • Support: BJJ is an individual sport where the support of a team dictates success. Our athletes cheer for, support, and help their teammates improve.

Success for Life

Admission to the Competition Team is by invitation or assessment only. Candidates must generally have at least 6 months of BJJ experience and demonstrate the maturity required for high-level training.
